An Ex Motability car is a genuine 1 owner vehicle, which has a full service history, a full clear HPI certificate and has been kept in overall good condition. The vehicle was originally UK sourced and registered to the Motability scheme. Most cars are purchased using a full maintenance contract hire scheme; this enables the driver to have the car fully maintained at whatever the cost. The cars are normally kept on the scheme for up to 3 years at which point they become available for resale.

Can I part exchange my current car?
Exmotabilitycars can offer a part exchange service. Let us know your current vehicle details and we will we use a team of experts to assess its current market value. We could even arrange for any outstanding finance to be settled and pay you the difference (if any). If a deal is agreed, your vehicle will be collected from you, for a small charge, when we deliver your new vehicle, or you could simply bring it to us whichever is best for you.

Please remember, our mission is to offer you the best price we can on the new vehicle you are buying therefore, we may not always be able to assist with a part exchange deal.

How do I take delivery of my new vehicle? When you buy a vehicle from Exmotabilitycars you have the choice of either collecting from us, or you may take advantage of our delivery service to anywhere in the UK. The vehicle can be driven to your home or works address or delivered via a transported service. If the car is driven we have a team of handpicked drivers who take every care in delivering your vehicle on the day and time pre arranged, and what’s more the cost for this service is only £175.00 plus vat.

If the car is to be transported to you on a trailer, the cost would vary depending on where you are in the UK; the biggest charge would be £325.00 plus vat, this can be discussed when placing your order. If there is a vehicle to be taken in part exchange a fee of £125.00 plus vat would apply.

Who will guarantee and maintain my new vehicle? Exmotabilitycars will identify your local franchised dealer, it is then your decision whether to take it there for any warranty work you may need and also to have any future service work carried out.

What documentation do I need? Prior to the collection or delivery of your new vehicle you will need to supply us with a current and correct car insurance certificate; we will need this to apply for you new tax disc and to also register the new vehicle in your name. Your signed order form and confirmation receipt for the initial deposit you paid; these are provided to you when you place your order. Paying your outstanding balance. This can be done by a Telegraphic Transfer straight in to our account; a Bankers draft or Building Society cheque. If paying the balance by personal cheque you must allow 5 working days for the cheque to clear. All cheques are to be made payable to Exmotabilitycars. In addition, if you are purchasing your new vehicle on one of our funding packages, you will also need to provide us with; a copy of your up to date driving licence (including photo card if applicable), a recent utility bill, dated within the last 30 days which must also be in your name and at your current home address.

What if I am part exchanging a vehicle? We will need:- Confirmation of your address Your current registration document Your current MOT, if applicable Your current tax disc Handbooks / Service books / Bills and receipts / Keys /Codes etc.
